As a supplier of performance analysis services for both Danish and international shipping companies, Vessel Performance Solutions is experiencing a growing need for extending the functionalities of our web-platform and underlying analysis algorithms.Vessel Performance Solutions is therefore looking for a skilled software developer to further develop our software platform to accommodate the requirements of existing and future clients.
The JobWe are looking for a senior software engineer, who can help us turning user requirements and specifications into first class code. We are a small company and being a pro-active part of our team is required. You will be referring to the CEO, but with close cooperation with our Chief Developer and external (software) vendors. You will have the opportunity to participate in the end-to-end delivery of software projects, from understanding (and challenge) user requirements and specifications, discussion and planning of Architecture, implementation and testing of software. A basic understanding of engineering software is desired, e.g. mathematical modelling and simulation. Experience within UI programming will also be beneficial.
ProfileThe preferred candidate has a background as a software engineer (BSc, MSc or PhD). A background from working in the shipping industry is an advantage but not a requirement. We are working with a stream of technologies where some of the most important ones are Microsoft .Net (C#), MVC.NET, Typescript, MSSQL, EntityFramework, MVVM framework (Knockout), UnitTesting (xUnit), Git.We expect that you are highly motivated and able to work independently. You should have good communication skills, be proficient in English (speaking Danish is not a requirement), result oriented and since we work in small team, a strong team player.
